C-130 Versus F-16

Pete

Trout Hunter
The C-130 was lumbering along when a cocky F-16 flashed by.
The jet jockey decided to show off.

The fighter jock told the C-130 pilot, "Watch this!" and
promptly went into a barrel roll followed by a steep climb.
He then finished with a sonic boom as he broke the sound
barrier.

The F-16 pilot asked the C-130 pilot what he thought of
that.

The C-130 pilot said, "That was impressive, but watch this!"

The C-130 droned along for about five minutes and then the
C-130 pilot came back on and said, "What did you think of
that?"

Puzzled, the F-16 pilot asked, "What did you do?"

The C-130 pilot chuckled. "I stood up, stretched my legs,
went to the bathroom, then got a cup of coffee and a
cinnamon bun."

"What did you do?"
"We just shut down two engines."

I flew HH-52's. HH-3A, HH-65's, H60J's and they always put me out the door on a wire.

I was a qualified C-130, C-141, and C-5A Load Master and landed ass first.

All's I remember from those days, in the "box lunch" they had a Snickers candy bar in there.

Live was good back then.

I worked KC-135A's In The USAF for 4 yrs -- Great Plane and even has a MIG KILL in Viet Nam -- A Mig Low on fuel Demanded fuel from a 135 during NAM or he'd shoot him down -- The 135 lowered the boom called in the mig and puth the boom right into the Canopy -- Needless to say the Cockpit got doused with fuel after the Pilot hit the dump valve -- The boomer immediaely pulled the boom out of the cockpit -- The piloot did a MILITARY DIVE with the 135 and the MIG blew up

I got the KC-135 "alternate version" from my youngest brother, a retired AF navigator. Except for a couple of years at the Pentagon, he spent his entire career on KC-135 crews. He was too young for "Nam", but it could have been another brother of mine (lifer Pilot) who flew one in support of Bombers in Nam..... Probably not, I think he would have mentioned it...
