Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Being close to bears can be safe!

Ya just have to be smarter then yogi!

Most of these photos taken were within 10 yrds of these bruins. When the three thuggs and there mother; grizz #399 crossed the jdbuckefeller parkway between tetons NP and yellowstone they walked 15 to 20 feet from me. 399 by the by will upon placing paw on pavement look both ways before crossing ; the three thuggs on the other hand just sort of tumbled out onto the road. I ran into bears everywhere and trasped through bear country everyday when out spray and a loota noise is prudent in bear country. Bears behaving in an unbear like manner were sprayed with bear spray, shot with bean bags, or otherwise hazed by park staff lived trapped qand relocated. The three strikes rule applied and during the summer of 07 ten bears had to be put down in the valley. I was more worried during fishing of stampeding buffalo and moose or elk bulls during the rut.

Also, just because everyone is having issues on water flow on the delaware. Here's a story Jackson Lake is 480 feet deep in two months time it was 240 deep as the potatoe industry needed the water for irrigation in Idaho.

The Snake during normal release runs around 2500cfs during the summer and fall. But the water was drawn off at flow rates of 3750 to 4100 at the peak effort. When the spud industry got there water they turned the flow off from peak at 3750cfs and within 7 days the flow was 212 cfs.

The last two picks show "the oxbow" on the snake river showing the difference in water. During the draw down the fishing was difficult to say the lease and after the draw down the trout were simply wondering ( insert your own troutish colorful language) what happened and not rising at all.

I thought the delinquents were sent to the bear centers? We stopped at a few while out there last summer. This is why idiots shouldnt feed wildlife!! Cant believe they have to put them down when we're the problem, not them. Sucks.
