Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
It seems that the general public action plan proposed at the meeting will be published in mid June. So to answer your question a formal document doesn't exist to my knowledge. I couldn't speak to their internal plan that would be a good question for Jeff/FUDR.
I think these are all growing...
The meeting went very well and Jim highlighted the main points.
In general FUDR acknowledged "an overarching desire of the group is to see an action plan with near-term, mid-term, and long-term goals and to determine specific actions we can take as individuals and as a community." They also...
Last minute reminder the meeting will be in the old Radio Shack location in Hancock at 5:00pm tonight. If your in the area stop in we are hoping for a good turn out.
Just so you know Dan Plummer was recently added to the board of trustees of TU National so I would expect there to be a little more synergy with FUDR moving forward.

West Branch Angler and the Orvis company are proud to present the 1st annual Field Days at West Branch Angler. This event will be open to the public and all of the seminars will be no charge except some of the shooting training. This is a great opportunity to get out and checkout the new Orvis...
Well I think that the color of this fish would be a strong indicator when they were doing the shocking this spring a pale silver looking brown would be marked as a rez fish. So I think they could actually come up with some pretty solid numbers from that.
The 3 for 2 Getaway: Stay 2 nights in one of our log cabin accommodations during the week receive a third night absolutely free.
3 for 2 Stay and Float: Stay 2 nights and take out one of our professional river guides and save $50.00 on the guided trip and receive a third nights lodging free.

Wow if I was reading this correctly I would say this is a posative article on the West Branch.... Outside of random flow issues we saw in mid June this has been a wonderful season yet almost everyone has nothing but negative press to pass around. Thanks ddawatson :)
Its really not that bad that you can't fish a couple days the lower West went over 70 but the upper has been ok. Check the USGS temps since the beginning of June Hale Eddy hasn't even gone over 60 in the past 2 weeks the high is about 66. Just be careful take water temps use good judgment.
I mean I agree but lets hope we aren't seeing 45cfs anytime soon, like I said its not something the state can do gotta use some common sense. The 225 min flow as well as the thermal bank should prevent that from going on. At this time of year if we are seeing lets say 180 out of the Oquaga...
Well I think you might find that the people who make there livings from the system would be the 1st to support a warm temp ban on fishing. But unlike western states such as Montana, NYS DEC does not have the flexibility to do this from a conversation I had with the DEC about 5 years ago. From...
If you frequently fish big water you will find the indicator an invaluable tool. Across and mend away covers only half of the fishable area although it does give great movement for soft hackles and work nicely in small/shallow waters. Tight/High sticking is nice when you can wade the water you...
I am a fan of treated poly yarn they sell these pre done with o rings holding them together or you can tye your own its pretty ez to setup stop into your local shop and ask if you don't know how to do it (basically just a slip knot). Treated poly is usally treated with water shead and make it...
I mean why don't we just put a huge ferris wheel up in the no kill and get it over with. This has to be the most ridiculous proposal ever conceived. So I wonder then will there be a huge digital readout of the CFS on the river and the date so that the general public will know the correct day...
