    Suggestions on a 10ft. 5 wt. 4 pc rod

I would choose the T&T as the best all around rod based on the rods you have listed there. In my opinion, no one makes a better rod than T&T. Of course, opinions vary.

I figured he was talking about the streamflex.

New Loomis 10' Czech Nymphing Rods

The 3 has a better action. It has no problem landing bigger fish.

New Loomis 10' Czech Nymphing Rods

That's something a lot of people don't mention when the talk about the Grey's. It is a great little dry fly rod. I don't fish wets much, but from the little I do know about them, I think I would prefer the 4wt Grey's over the 3wt. That's not to say it won't get the job done though!

New Loomis 10' Czech Nymphing Rods

They aren't worth it to me for $650. The Grey's 10' 3wt is near perfect for the euro nymphing applications, and it's only 300 bucks. If you are going to spend that kind of money, you might be better off getting the Thomas and Thomas 10' 4wt Helix. Or better yet, the 11' 3wt Loop, or 11' 5wt...

    Pequannock fall fishing

It's unfortunate that that stream doesn't get the protection that it deserves. It certainly holds some good size wild trout.

    U.S. Fly Fishing Nationals

I never said you weren't good, or that you didn't handle the fish right. I was just pointing out, that these competitors are probably harming the stream less than 50 average joes. I never said anything about peoples rights on the streams. I also never said you need a comp. to learn more. I was...

    U.S. Fly Fishing Nationals

My post was in response to garyb. With the fishing competition, there is no choice. You have to abide by the rules. Barbless hooks only. If fish are spawning, you can't fish to them, or use flies that may attract them. You also must pick up your trash. He says these competitions are a...

    U.S. Fly Fishing Nationals

So you're saying 50 elite anglers, who release the fish unharmed, (these guys are the best of the best, they know how to handle a fish) are somehow ruining the environment. They fish on mostly popular, public streams. Where on any given weekend, 50 retards can go and handle a fish any way they...

    U.S. Fly Fishing Nationals

You make a good point, Jeffk. Being open minded, and learning new techniques is one of the major reasons these guys are the best in the nation. By best in the nation, I mean they can go to any stream or lake, in any condition, and catch fish. Always practicing, always trying to be better...
