Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!
Thanks for the replies guys I appreciate the insight. I'm not in a huge hurry as I'm weary of just the things mentioned. If you could find out if and when your friend was planning on breeding again that would be great. Thanks
Hey guys haven't been here in a while but I'm hoping you all can help me find a reputable lab breeder In the Tri state area. I would ideally like chocolate but am open to black and yellow. If anyone has any leads on pups or has any info I would really appreciate it. Thanks
thanks for the advise and the referrals to all the other posts. I am now the owner of a basic vise, tools and materials. I have so far tied some ok pheasant tail nymphs, and green weenies. Any other suggestions of flies that are simple but will let me develop skills?
Well I've finally decided to start tying my own flies and am just starting to look into it. I'm looking for any advise about what to look for in a first vise and is there any kits out there that are worth looking at or should I just invest in things separately. Any and all advise would be...

fished the glen gray area today for a few hours. fished a couple different nymphs with no success. there were a ton of leaves in the water, and they made fishing difficult at best. The rain drove me away at about 12:30 but I had the place to myself. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Today was my debut fly fishing and decided to try the Ramapo. Fished the Glen Gray area from 8 to about 10:30. Spooked one fish at the end of the pool below the bridge. That was it for me. Tried the riffle below that pool and then headed above the bridge for about a half hour nothing there...
Thanks everyone for the responses...I really appreciate the input and will take it all to heart. If you see someone fumbling around after friday on the ramapo chances are it's me. Also, if i try anything and have any degree of success (fat chance I know) you can all be sure i'll share it
Hi everyone...I'm new to the site and to the sport of fly fishing. This summer while visiting family I took a float trip down a stretch of the Colorado river and after my first 12" Brown I was hooked. So here I am some months later and I have just purchased my first five weight. Now I really...
