the pequannock will be better off with less stock trout. you should have fished it when they only stocked twice a year,before they changed to six times. then there was one year they did not stock at all, wow the fishing was better than great.

i see you were in the happy time bar on hebgen lake,hope you had the steak.it is as good as the fishing is.

that is a beautiful long rainbow.that fish would be getting its spawning colors now for early spring spawning.that trout could use some extra weight,but older trout do get thin many times.why would you use a 7x tippet with a size 8 hook?

i just saw on the internet that the pequannock river coalition is now a private company with approx. 1 employee and revenue of $64,000.00 per year.i thought they were still a non profit.

i fished there before the camping started and when most of it was posted by elizabeth morrel of nj.the fishing was spectactular and the scenery even better.no signs of litter or people.

nice fly.what brand of dun hackle did you use.the hackle looks curved at the ends which would imply that it is not very stiff.i was never able to get any quality dun hackle until about 15 years ago.what a great thing shiny stiff dry fly hackle is to ty with.
