Bar Harbor Advice

I will be heading up to Bar Harbor ME with my wife for a week of vacation in mid-September and have been generously allocated one day to explore and do some trout fishing. Any suggestions on trout streams within 90 minutes of Bar Harbor? I can search the Maine F&G websites, etc. but any personal experiences would be appreciated.

too late to help you out, but in case you go again there are many ponds on mt desert island that are worth fishing, some streams and creeks as well as the surf . fish the salt near seawall and seal harbor and follow the streams back from the shore for salters, stanley and little harbor are usuallly excellent in September, its really the only time I would be on that island.
when you see "closed for the season" signs its time to go fishing!
