Rest in Peace, Jim Holland - Co-owner of Shannon's in Califon

Although I haven't kept in touch with, Jim, over the years, he was a terrific guy and did an awful lot for the fly fishing community.

Jim invited me to fish with him a few times on what I believe was his favorite water (Private area of the SBR) but instead, I opted to just take a few pictures of him in action.







May he rest in peace.

That's very sad. I had heard he was ill. He was a very nice guy and an enthusiastic fly fisher.

I was fortunate to have sat with him at the hospital for a few hours just days before his passing. He was upbeat and remained optimistic that he would beat the stage 4 colon cancer that had stricken him. I will miss my friend greatly! He did far more for TU chapters and for stream restoration than most will ever know.
