    NPS Registered Guide Numbers wanted

I'm with you DC I always go behind the wade guys and if its tight I'll walk it around. But if you drift the East or the West sooner or later you eventually will pass over a pod of risers someone is fishing. If I have a good feeling someone is fishing a spot that is tight I'll move in slow and...

    Rise Forms

Rise forms are important to me as 99.9% of my spring, summer and early fall revolve around dry fly fishing my preferred method as I fish subsurface through out the winter. Fly14 has covered the forms that most people see and what they mean. Most of these rise forms occur in the slower moving...

A Streamer & Winged Wet New Patterns

Had some quality time at the vise last week tying up some new patterns that I'm sure will bring fish to hand. The first is a winged wet called The Stinger developed to swing when the big mayflies are around. The second is a sweet streamer named The Purple Martin tied up in the colors of the bird...

Had a great time a the INFTS this year got to meet in person a couple of my favorite tiers and online friends from over the big pond. And catch up with friends I haven't seen since last year. Pre-holiday fly swap.

Lightenup, It is a matter of preference , although I tye in my hackle and secure it up the post then wrap the hackle down the post so it is easier for me to tye it off at the head. I believe it creates a much more durable fly as you can put a few good strong wraps to hold it in. With a few coats...

A Few Steelhead Treats Ready To Swim !

Thank you everyone !! TH I think the steel take these as a bait fish, bug or flesh as they eat all three while in the river. The brighter ones maybe more as an attracter. All I know is they work when fished properly.

    Filling the Steelhead Fly Box

Never to nice Jeff for lake run trout you know, but it is fun to see just exactly what you can catch them on and how gentlemanly you can do it. It beats nymphing for fish that supposedly do not eat, but chase down a swung egg pattern like it was their last meal.. Losing rigs and retying sucks...
