    Guides near Silverthorne, Colorado?

Cutthroat Anglers has a pretty good reputation. Trout’s also has a location in Frisco, and they’re also reputable. If I had to pick one I would go with Trout’s. You probably don’t need a guide to fish the Blue in Silverthorne though.

    New Member New fly Fisherman

The Delaware is a great option, but you have some rivers that are much closer. The smallmouth bite should be dying off a bit now that the water temps should be well below 60. The Pompton and Passaic Rivers both have smallmouth, as well as the lower Wanaque and the Saddle River. I personally...

You seem to have difficulty swallowing your pride. Those terms are used quite frequently. If you think they are not, you will have to take that up with my college professors, not to mention many evolutionary biologists. Arguing over terminology is pointless, he used the terms strong and weak in...

Strong and Weak are terms often used to describe species in terms of their level of adaptation. He even specified that this is what he meant.

I dont think you understood his post. He said the best adapted survive, those that aren't well adapted will die off. He was referring to the best adapted as strong, and those that are not well adapted (weak).

Last Outing in New York State

The season doesn't end in Colorado so I guess I'm lucky. One more reason for me never to live in New York. Next trip will be to the Frying Pan. Sight fishing with a dry dropper to huge browns and rainbows, it doesn't get better. One place that I never had a chance to fish when I lived back east...

Still doesn't disprove either one. Just proves that some of the things they've been said to do, don't happen. For instance, God is said to be benevolent and all powerful, but we know that one or both of those are false. I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one. I'm done anyway.

You actually think you could fool me with this crap? You just put the link in there now.....nice try. Tea Party News Network? Are you serious? Automatically disqualified, give me a real source.

That's your opinion, fair enough. But, when you have people trying to get a constitutional ban on gay marriage, bring religion in to the science classroom etc......what do you expect? Obviously atheists have to be vocal otherwise these numbskulls will inject religion pretty much anywhere they...

That doesn't prove that they don't exist. That just proves that santa claus doesn't provide gifts to everybody, and the easter bunny doesn't put eggs in your backyard. I know this sounds ridiculously childish, but that doesn't disprove Santa Claus or the easter bunny. To give a similar argument...

How is providing services to a gay couple interfering with the practicing of their religion? It isn't. Just because you are a christian does not mean you can impose your religious view of the world on other people. To think that is encroaching upon your religious freedom is laughable. You have...

Sunday morning FRUITCAKE seminar at the Symposium with, Gary Borger 7:30am

Atheism is not an affirmation of anything. We don't believe there is a God, but we don't claim that we know with absolute certainty that there is no God. There's a difference. Do you believe in Santa Claus or the easter bunny? I'm going to assume you don't, but why not? You can't prove that...

Abortion is still illegal in many states. Okay, the democratic party is pro-choice, so what? Not exactly a relevant point. Explain to me how the LGBT community is preventing you from exercising your religion? This has to be the most ridiculous statement so far in this thread. How does a gay...

True, there are no laws against birth control. However, abortion is illegal in many states primarily due to the influence of religious fundamentalists. Whatever your stance is on the issue, religious people are the reason that abortion is still illegal in some states. Christians have also...

Instead of rambling on with the old "the created is evidence of the creator" argument, let's see some actual scientific evidence. I have yet to see any evidence that even suggests that a God exists.

Those laws are enforced, although admittedly it is quite rare. I find it odd that you didn't address the other laws that I mentioned, the ones that are enforced on a much greater scale. The laws against murder, theft etc......wouldn't it be more logical to assume those were based on common...

Sounds to me like you're making up your own definition of religion. Religion is forced down people's throats to some degree in this country. Look at the laws concerning gay marriage/civil unions. You could also argue that the failed "war on drugs" and abortion/birth control laws are primarily...

The only similarity seems to be the congregation. Really no different than any other group of people getting together and holding an event. No prayer, no worship, no holy book, no crazy stories and verses, and most importantly no God which, as far as I'm concerned, is a requirement in order to...

Sunday morning FRUITCAKE seminar at the Symposium with, Gary Borger 7:30am

I really try not to get involved in arguments like this anymore but......atheism is not a religion. Atheism is the antithesis of religion. There are still laws in place in several states that forbid atheists to hold public office. I could give other examples as well. I have to respectfully...

    favorite fishing show

The New Fly Fisher was always my favorite but I don't know if it is still running. In the Loop is another good one that is more recent. As far as youtube goes, Todd Moen/Catch Magazine has made some pretty great videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ALzWgZcmvU...
