Sat. I was on the Beaverkill starting at 11 AM and quitting at 7:30PM. Hatches of caddis and mayflies started around 2 and remained growing heavy from 5PM on. I never saw a single fish rise the whole day. I might of heard a slurp once or twice but never saw a fish break the surface all day...

I saw it for the first time three weeks ago on the Esopus just above Phoenicia. I had to keep cleaning the stonefly i was using. It was a very light grey color and streaming from the rocks. I didn't notice it last Sat above the portal or in Boiceville.
