    The UPPER Upper Delaware

Might fish the West Branch up near Delhi this evening. Maybe the Little Delaware. Anyone ever fish up that way?

Everyone knows the Upper Delaware begins at the spillway of the two dams.

(I've never fished above either dam, but hear it is more of a stocked brown trout fishery. Not sure if that is correct or not.....)

When I lifeguarded at little pond I wanted to go out there to fish but I only went that way to go to a college party. Scrounge the internet to get a better idea. Nice area but that’s where it starts to get flatter and hot slow water

Yes Rusty, (AND cmm) more of a Jersey like experience... (without all the people around)

It's usually what I need early in the season, when The West Branch below the reservoir kicks my ass...

    ..
NY stocks it quite heavily- like greater than one fish per ten feet of water... how does that compare to Jersey?

    Re: The UPPER Upper Delaware

What a washout! I found my self streamside at about 4PM. It was hot and sunny. It started to cloud up and I had some hope. There were no rises or bugs so I headed down rt 10 toward Walton. As I did it started to grt darker and darker. Some lightning flashes and a downpour ensued. In a lull There were Caddis and some small black stones EVERYWHERE. I saw several light cahills some yellow sallies and a sulphur... and just a COUPLE of rises. Small fish at that..

When that front went through the temperature dropped 16 degrees. THAT was one of the only good parts of my outing...
