    Bagels

For a variety of reasons, it seems I will find myself in Jersey in the near future.
Sadly, I find that the bagel shop on Elmora Avenue in Elizabeth is no more.
Where could I find the best traditional bagels (salt bagels, of course) in NJ?
Not the fluffy rolls in the shape of a doughnut that they try to pass off as a "bagel" today, but the thick, doughy, chewy bagels of my youth. You know the kind that if you ate two of them, you were stopped up for a day or two...

And to make this about flyfishing, suppose you needed to buy a dozen or two for the guys for breakfast before a TU meeting or some river restoration project... where would you go?

Thanks, I'm counting on the NEFF crowd...

I read somewhere that each bagel contains six servings of bread. Bagels-4-U: terrible name; very good bagels.

Speak for yourself, that's a south Jersey thing. Up north, we're bagel eaters. But all of New Jersey loves a Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwich on a round roll!

    Yelp is your friend.

7 days without fishing, makes one weak.

No that's a North Jersey thing. Down here in the great state of South Jersey it's scapple or Bacon Egg & Cheese please. So as would you say speak for yourself that's a North Jersey thing (LOL). In North Jersey it's Subs, in South Jersey Hoagies. North Jersey Fairs, South Jersey, Farmer Fairs and Piney Fest, Rodeos, Blueberries, Cranberry Bogs and a Little of the south at times and most of all dam good Philly Cheesesteaks. It is truly amazing how diverse this state is that we all live in and try to survive.
