My good friend Agust would disagree with me on the eating part. It's apparently fine dining in Warren County

I've also heard tell that crumb cake is a jersey thing. I'm from north jersey and grew up thinking that everybody in the country ate crumb cake and Taylor ham, egg and cheese.

    Re: Bagels

Moved backed to South Jersey a little under 10 years ago. My family when I would come up to visit in central and North Jersey always would ask me to bring Cinnabon up. That was back in the 80's before it eventually migrated to central and North Jersey. Down here in South Jersey, some of our really good Diners serves Cheese Bread. This is a really tasty treat before dinner, and when made fresh like Mastori's or the Vincent Town diner, or the Golden Dawn diner and so on. This is one thing I miss at some of the really good diners in the north. This state is so diverse and people different in each region. NJ is a small state when you look at all the others but is the most diverse than any other state in the country. Could things be better, Yes. But for now it is home until I move back home to Texas when it's time to retire. Austin is looking better all the time.

For a state where "bigger is better", Jersey has it all over Texas when it comes to trout.
Texas's record Brook Trout was 12 inches and .67 pounds.
Gonna be quite a transition for ya when you retire, yes?

    Re: Bagels

A little off topic but not really, WTF is it with people butchering the Italian language when they order food. is that just a NJ thing? Nothing says "I am confidently ignorant" than hearing some ignoramus butcher Italian, I think my favorite is Pruzhoot......and Mootz.... A few fluent Italian speaking friends of mine have the same theory on how the languge got ruined in NJ.

Hell no and it aint over now.......

Peacock Bass can survive in Texas?
