Icon26 New to freshwater Fly Fishing

HI everyone, I'm new to this site but so fare it seems like a very good site.
I've been doing saltwater Flyfishing for some time now, I was a board member with Coastalflyrodders. I recently moved up to North Jersey(Hardwick) and decided to get into freshwater fly fishing. I have fish the
Paulinskill and the Pequest with good results. I am currently planning to
go fishing to KLG for the first time maybe on wednesday the 22nd. Does anyone have any suggestions on what patterns to use or would like to Join me in some fine fishing? It would greatly be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your input...
    Hooked..

Did your sucess at the Pequest and Paulinskill come using subsurface flies? Nymphs/soft-hackles/wets? If yes, take your top four producers and fish them with confidence in the KLG. These flies, whatever they are, will catch fish.

Concentrate more on getting a good dead drift presentation and picking good, fish holding water.

If you still need some direction as far as patterns go, stick with caddis larvae, generic mayfly nymph imitations like pheasant tails, hares ears, as well as some small to medium buggers in black and brown.

If you need some more info on flies, shoot me a PM.

Whatever you do, don't use your 10wt for fishing #22 dries....

I fond my 10wt works better with a streamer and a 350 grain line. But thanks for the heads up. LOL

Re: New to freshwater Fly Fishing

Thanks for all the input, I'm going to give it a shot on wednesday. I have'nt figured out on how to use dries yet so I am mainly going to stick with Nyph patterns and maybe wooly buggers.
