I have the same issue - maybe...MAYBE...1 out of 10 times I try to log on I can actually connect - it's a shame because it forces me to turn to other sites instead
Occasionally we run into issues. I do my best to keep it online. If the issue isn't reported, I might not know because I don't log onto the site daily. Email me at Dennis.cabarle@gmail.com when experiencing issues.
This is the first time I have been able to get in in several days. My internet service is not very good.... old infrastructure.
That 1 to 10 ratio is about right although I never had problems until the past year.

I have no idea if this is your problem, but since you mentioned a substandard internet service....
Up until a couple of years ago, I was using dialup internet with an old computer.
This site has a lot of modifications, many of them run scripts...
It could take ages to load, and I had to click through a bunch of script timeouts.
By using the Firefox browser with the "noscript" add-on, I could stop the scripts from attempting to run, and browse this forum as easily, as a "normal" website.
Other browsers may have similar add-ons available, YMMV
I access the site on a PC and right now I'm on a MacBook Pro and I have no issues on either. The only issue I had was the other day from a cell phone but it seems to be working ok from the cell phone now.
