I'm with you on that TN you can get creative with the access up there and find some nice lesser fished water if you know your way around..., I like the boat but it isnt the better way to go on times when its windy, when hatches are very good and you don't need to cover water, spooky borderline floating flows, ect. A lot of guys are obsessed with the boat thing and won't wade fish once they own one (though they will put the waders on to still feel like theyre still flyfishing in a river and never get out of the boat during the course of the day). To get the best of both worlds I now break up my floats by tying the boat in the weeds/around trees, ect and find creative ways in/out to get back to my boat. This way I don't rush on shorter broken up floats but still can fish to the deeper areas that wading can be tough in. Just gotta make sure you're the last one off/first one on to avoid getting robbed
