Starting a new build

Dries, wets, nymphs and streamers...it's all good!
The wife and I are planning a trip to the Bahamas in Late October. Granted, we are going to a location not known for its guided Bonefish trips, but I'm still going to bring a rod with some saltwater flies with me.

I've had this Sage Xi2 8wt blank in my closet for about 2 years, this is what I have to start with. Now I need to start ordering up my components and will hopefully start and complete the build by the time the salmon start entering the river, or it will not be complete. I post pics as I go along.

I went to the Bahamas (south Eleuthera) where there aren't many guides and did fine. The one piece of advice I recieved and learned to follow the hard way is that the bones are feeding in ankle deep water. In thigh deep water the sharks and barracuda can get them so they head very, very shallow. Need a few unweighted flies that shallow - a weighted fly slapping down will spook em. Once you see where they are, wading around the flats and casting to spotted bones is a blast.

Good luck
