Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Should River access be Closed via River Road in Stockport?

MOST rainbows DO NOT take you into the backing these days........SOME, still show you backing.

MOST waders are not lazy shits.......you have it wrong Mr. Naazoooom, the LAZY SHITS are most of you up here that sit your lazy asses in a banana boat or stinktoon anchoring up on fish to make your 20' cast to possibly hook up and rip some lips. Fly fishing at its' best.:crap:

Always the Facts......................CDun.

I disagree, the LAZY SHITS are me, who don't drive their asses up there to experience the hatred and anger of the locals, who's economy by the way, is being supported by all the so called jack asses and lazy, delinquent, mean hearted, littering, loud mouthed, rude, obnoxious, (did I forget any?) fishermen who frequent the upper Delaware........I can't wait until I have some free time to venture up there, and I hope I meet cdun, so I can see what a real good fisherman does, because my would be, 93 year old grandpa wasn't unlazy and didn't teach me shit about what lazy fishermen do. Please enlighten me and tell me about the real fisherman, and how I must do it to be accepted by the jackass contingent......stfu and get a life!:)

So what is the problem? I don't understand where all the anger is coming from. Look at it this way we don't use the European model of privatizing water. It is a great thing that in this country the only true cost of fishing is the price of a license

No problem whatsoever.

Just stating the facts as always and making accurate observations.

Obviously, most of the youngsters here cannot stomach that.

CDun:)

I'm a Delaware noob compared to you old farts (compared to anyone) and I've got to say that I catch mainly bows on the MS (not that I have a problem with that). And yes, most of them still take me into the backing, even some of the 16" dinks. I could catch these fish all day long and be happy. You should be happy that most of the tools traveling up there are after big Browns, so fish higher up on the river. I had a couple of wade days last year (spring and fall) where I went double digits with the bows. This river will always be packed, the genie is out of the bottle on that, just be happy that most waders are lazy shits so they'll be packed around the ramps. You should also be happy that most of them don't know how to fish either, so they won't be ripping too many lips.

I don't believe that I have been complaining about my fishing on the system. I have been catching less rainbows and many don't fight as good as they did thirty years ago. But those are just facts that I can see in my personal experiences. You Sir just might be a much better fly fisher than I am. It must be so if you consider a 16" wild trout a "dink". My, oh my, how jaded some of us have become to label a beautiful wild trout with the ignoble name of "dink".

The wild trout I catch are no bigger than 9 inches......I find everyone of them to be more fun to catch than a stocked trout, but I'll take a stocked trout any day over not fishing or not having the opportunity to catch one...and I thank anyone who works for conservation of, or stocking of trout....just be careful to not push limited wild populations around here out because of a stocking program, that I think is a waste of a valuable resource....one day, I will become a real fisherman and fish the upper Delaware with cdun, maybe he could give me a diploma or something if I walk a few miles to wade fish....:) just my opinion and maybe, just maybe some facts thrown in.....

I might buy a boat.

That or spend 3 weeks in April on tour with some rockstar pals in Europe :nose-picking:

Point is this, if I DO get a boat -- it will be named after CDun.

Most waders are fat and lazy, and I'm thankful for that. I always find spots where the others aren't just by walking a little further, and up there you don't need to walk too far.

I have to disagree with your road salt theory. There is not much more today than was dumped on the roads in the past. It's not a thriving metropolis here.
Not yet! Wait until they start creating the massive highway system to deliver more goods to the area. If you build it, they will come.

Siltation and I'll even throw rock snot in there(upper WB and EB) is a far greater factor. Just look at the releases from Cannonsville today vs many years ago. Before you know it every season.......silt in the release starts coming down the WB.

The increase in pressure does bring focus on this fishery. Has this actually helped improve the fishery to date............no.

Certainly the increased money helps the local economy in this region.

These fish are survivors indeed and not as fragile as one my think, but, catch and release over and over again by the hordes of fisherman can weaken fish, increasing mortality;even after spawning or even their ability to survive Winters. I've seen many lazy ass drifters in the past hold a HUGE 17" -18" fish:) out of the water way too long for a hero shot and wonder why it takes so long to revive the thing to swim away. It may swim away, but, did it survive? Guides and shops contribute more and more to this behavior to make their $$. Do they really care about this fishery? It makes you wonder. The Upper Delaware used to be a World Class Fishery as WBranch will attest to.....nowadays, the Upper Delaware is an abused fishery as most have become across the USA.

The Facts...............CDun
Agreed. People (not me) need to start fishing the Beaverkill, Neversink, and of course the Willow a bit more. We need to really promote the hell out of those other fisheries so the guys will go there instead.
