Took a trip to Pine Creek week before last and fished Monday night through Wednesday morning. Great trip, lots of nice fish. BWO's were the ticket. 14's or 16's were best, but when I ran out of those they took 12's too. I do little dry fly fishing, and this place is made for it. Mornings were best, it was hot in the day and the stream got a little warm. There is really a stupid number of fish when you hit it right. I stayed in the catch and release section, but I would like to get into the grand canyon area sometime. And I'm going to hike and fish Slate Run next time also.

Definitely one of my many go-to spots. What an awesome Sulpher hatch! The March Browns seem to run a little longer too. I was out here with my buddy, Hank, for a 3 day visit in May, and I gotta tell you, this is not a place you should pass up. We were lucky, Olives all day, mixed in with the March Browns, then later at night, March Browns, Olives, and Sulphurs.
