The last time I had a 6 foot fly rod was in the 70's and it was a Fenwick noodle-like Glass Rod for a 5 wt that lost its appeal very quickly (the whole Lee Wulff smaller is better thing). I am a big fan of the Orvis Superfine full-flex rod series going back the the original "Tippet" from the early 80's. The offering of a 6' 1wt Superfine sounds intriguing for some of the small NJ wild trout streams that I frequent.
Has anyone had any experience with this rod? If so, can you lay a dry fly out 30' and fish a small (16-18) weighted nymph or small streamer? It could be a blast if it does.
