The one creek that we fished in France today had falls like that all over the place. It was a beautiful place in an even more beautiful valley. We took some nice browns and gayling at those spots. This 7 and 8X nymphing is rough.

AJ, can you tell us a bit more about the "gayling?"

I bet a few sets of ear perked up in here when you mentioned you loved the "gaylings" in France, so before anyone books a trip to France to bend their rod in a couple of "gaylings," is it not true that you meant "GRAYLING?"

Usuallt catch a good amount of fish down in that stretch, but I consider it cheating. It is not the classic hallowed part of the Letort.

Sounds like you fished that area a lot.

So you also must consider yourself a "Cheater" which translates "to deprive of something valuable by the use of deceit or fraud."

I just think you are a fraud.

The photo of the falls. The stream looks to be in great shape, as far as flows go.
Is it the way it is normally, or was that after a rain?

I believe the USGS gage isn't too far from the falls.

The creek narrows in that area so it looks to be flowing faster.

It is a spring creek so the discharge really doesn't change all that much.

Here is some old data, but it shows you the flows by month.
