Korker Metalhead Wading Shoe Review..

While fishing last weekend the sole started to pull away from the bottom of my old Korkers after 2 years of use. I went over to Malinda's to see if she had new inserts and no luck she was out of the size I needed. So I bought a new pair of boots they are the Metalhead model with the boa laces . I tried on the Chrome to compare and settled on the Metalheads as they are built a little wider and are much more comfortable . So the Chromes would be fine if my feet were a little narrower. That being said I fished them that weekend and am very pleased with them so far , definitely easy to get into and tighten up and get out of at the end of the day just pull out on the dial and off they come. The bottoms are much easier to change than the old ones no more tool or screw driver needed. If you are looking to get into a new pair of wading shoes these may be for you ! If you do a bit of winter wading you will want to get your regular shoe size and if they are just for summer wading one size down..I like my old pair and will keep them for summer wading now that I picked up two sets of inserts for them.

Did your lacing system stay tight? I have the chrome and it always feels like the left boot keeps getting lose?

Mine stayed tight. I heard there were some cases of them not staying tight WB they say the newer additions shouldn't have the problem.

Your left foot is 2 inches shorter than your right. That explains a lot of things you boob.

I hate the whole BOA lacing system, ive had a couple pairs of snowboarding boots with the BOA lacing. They would periodically un-lock and let loose. Also dont let water freeze in the knob, one of mine ended up breaking the mechanism.

i have the metalheads for 2 seasons now and the are great the only thing about it is that the cables have a tendency of not centering with the crank. not a big deal just got to pull slack back the opposite way and your good to go i have no complaints so far.. good luck with them allen

If you have any problem with BOA, give them a call or email and they'll send you what ever it takes to repair the fault.
