DEL WATERGAP trout streams?

Hi guys. I just took a job with the NPS DELAWARE WATERGAP for the summer. My primary mission is to do some restoration carpentry on the Van Campen Barn and several other buildings in Millbrook.

It seems I am in trout waters.

Anybody care to elaborate on my options. I report and leave work from Bushkill PA. However I have the option of several egress routes to my residence in Florida New York. The Muske and Pegash are south of my area of work, any heads up, for the montaque, sussex, bushkill, dingmans, or milford areas, would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to PM me. Well the stream next to the barn is Van Campens Brook, one of the few streams that supports a healthy population of three species of wild trout. About 4 miles north is the Flatbrook, with plenty of stocked fish and wild fish as you head upstream towards stokes.

If you want to explore in PA, you have Toms Creek, Dingmans Creek and a score of smaller tribs.

Quite a few of the streams have special regulations so if you plan to harvest any, check the regulations. Even if not harvesting, there are bait restrictions on most of them. For instance even possessing bait on Van Campens will get you a trouble.

Yes I can.

Take Route 80 to Exit 1.

Drive about 9.5 miles to the Lower Glen parking area.

There is an outhouse (restroom) with a picnic area there. Walk the length of the picnic area lawn and get in to the water there.

Walk and fish upstream. The biggest fish I've caught at Van Campens are in a pool that is adjacent to the picnic area.

Big browns right there.

ATTENTION:
Van Campen Glen is closed..Some jackass wrote a bunch of letters about illegals partying there, and littering, and drinking, and throwing dirty diapers in the stream, and then a kid died last year, so they closed it. I'm sure you can find a way in though....

In the summer, the lower glen is ridiculous.

Let me be very clear: the lowest form of life is the WHITE TRASH right here on NEFF.

White culture is a pathetic joke.

But the partying idiots on Van Campens in the summer are almost as bad. I don't care about their race.

White people suck tho, and that's for damn sure.

TT, maybe he meant to say,"American culture", but then he is still a phony......I bet Beetle isn't allowed to eat yogurt, because it has too much culture.....I know that was bad..

I am talking about basic respect for your surroundings......I, for one am glad they closed the glen. The area was being abused by people who were forcing their culture on the surrounding area and the visitors that give it respect.
 
The one caveat to Resica is that if you don't have a pin, they will report you for trespassing. You need to get a pin via a donation through the boy scout camp. And take it easy on the fish at VCB, they are tortured by stupid tourists, swimmers, fishermen, rock chuckers etc.
 
First off, the Glen is empty on morning weekdays, Fri-Sun, your fucked. Take care of the place, and release your catch, bring out your trash, and please, do not advertise the place. Despite the parking area being closed, hordes of spanish/white Hackettstown/Washington trash are wrecking the place.

As for the kid who died there last year, his friends came and tagged up the whole place with "RIP you foolish asshole" and similar notes right around the cliff jump. We need more rangers now. The place looks like shit.

Right......its been going on for years.....can't be stopped because of people like the golden beetle...We cannot infringe on the rights of an illegal alien to party in our National Parks...that would be disrespectful...........tell them to pick up the garbage they left, or not throw styrofoam and plastics, and dirty baby daipers in the creek....and telling the fly fisherman (these are the white people Beetle was refering to) when your fat fucking daughter is swimming in a WTS under a no swimming sign, no one cares but you?!?!?! and get the fuck out of here, this is a swimmin' hole.......I was looking over my shoulder for Ned Beatty, and some one toothed mother fucker with a shot gun. Washington trash? Seriously, I live in Washington and it is far better than average for the surrounding areas. It is like any small town with a shitty local government who pisses away our hard earned money for stupid shit like 25k clocks, and a state of the art crossing alert system for what was supposed to be a boom in businesses that never took place. Not to mention we piss away millions of dollars on a park pool that nobody but the fucking swim team uses. Don't get me started on all the petty bullshit about Washington, but they aren't trash. The people in power are drunk and the majority of the other people fall into 3 categories that don't allow it to be stopped- too old, too young, or the middle who have too much on their hands working to pay the ridiculous amount of property taxes.

I'm not even sure what the Glen is that you are referring too but I do take offense to your statement.

It is truly a tragedy that you teach children. Your most recent post explains why you did so poorly on your recent teaching evaluation. Islam started with the false prophet Muhammad in circa 600 AD, how you can attribute the decimal sytem which was created centuries before the birth of Muhammad to Islam, is silly. If you would like to credit Islam for faulty shoe bombs, the burkha, and 5,000,000 pieces of shit going to Mecca every year without a toilet in sight crapping like cats in the sand that is fine. The concept of Zero and The decimal system was used far before that BS you spouted . The architectural designers of the Great Pyramids had to have knowledge of the concept of pi or what they considered to be pi Long before any culture with a alphabetical system of writing .

Just for your awareness pi is not a whole number.

Just to clear things up a bit...the fez is from Morocco, ummm... and that is in North Africa...still a bunch of, to quote the "iconic" Trouser Trout, "faulty shoe bomb" bastards....:)

Developed by the Moroccans, but adopted by the Ottoman Turks, until Ataturk put it out of use to westernize his country a little more. Still worn today in many parts of the world.
