"Czech" Nymph Anchor flies

Dr. Gonzo

Stuck in my cabana, livin on bananas and blow.
I've been experimenting with some new materials in preparation for my usual winter nymphing regimen. I've been tying some heavy anchor flies for tandem rigs. This time I wanted to incorporate some flashy material to trigger strikes in the colder weather. Usually people use a "hot-spot" but I wanted to experiment with making more of a "hot-fly" by using flash in every aspect of the fly. The material on the back is a synthetic flash material that I wrapped to create the body and obviously I dubbed some flash up at the thorax.

I will probably run these with egg patterns, and small unweighted nymph patterns.

Note: I am still not very good at tying so constructive criticism is very welcome!

Very nice Dr.
Keep the abdomen thinner with a taper up to the thorax.
Dub thorax and pick out the material, that makes it a little bushier there.
Love those colors with the flash.
Should be a good fish catcher :thumb:
