Welcome back to the new NEFF. Take a break from Twitter and Facebook. You don't go to Dicks for your fly fishing gear, you go to your local fly fishing store. Enjoy!

Check out Wylies jumping rainbow!

NICE CLIP!!! Was that actually a fly that hooked that fish? I was beginning to forget that this is a fly fishing forum with all of the pics I've been seeing of fish caught on spinning tackle.

What, no complaints that he didn't tell you exactly what river and pool it was caught from?

Relax..... I have never asked anybody ever on this site for a place to fish, ever...... I have inquired as to what flies people have used.

So why the complaints about people not giving more specifics after they post pics of big trout they caught in certain regions?

If only Wylie didn't dress like one of those fly fishing purists! I forgot if he was the Orvis cowboy or just a plain old cowboy.

Bozo, let me explain...... Papabear is a fishing guide. Who is showing us great pics of great fish so we attempt to book a trip with him. BFD he tells us he fishes the Adirondacks, that is like saying I fish in VT. His purpose is only to solicit business from users of this site. On one hand I couldn't care less, but on the other if he is going to advertise on this site he should be paying the money to do so. I have also received two PM's from usual posters on this site who think he is a tool. Maybe you can book a trip and let us know how it goes, maybe afterwards you can call him "papabareback". If the pics were coming from some usual poster who caught these fish, including you, I would think it was fantastic. But, a guide dangling a carrot and promoting himself with vague descriptions as to where he goes, I have a problem with. I don't expect him to give the world his locations either. :)

Great footage DC love the way you put it together!! Have to get up there and try that with you sometime!Got a new rod to break in on the big water.

Allen,

Too bad you didn't get film on the bow I caught on the Beaverkill - that dude couldn't stop jumping out of the water. Of course it didn't happen if it wasn't on film.

Fair enough, tool. You make a good point about dangling the carrot out there with his pics. If he is hoping to drum up business from this site and believes its a great site as he said it was, it would benefit him more to pay to advertise here. However, after quickly being brought in line by Dennis, he's refrained from even posting a link to any website and to me is just posting pics to highlight some of the great fishing that under-utilized trout fishery has to offer beyond the "famed" ADK rivers. Sort of a it's worth a trip and a little exploring up here and maybe a PM would get a little more mention of town or river. I never really ask for specific locations on a stream but I know I've gotten the names of some rivers or towns to investigate through PM here from guys that will not post it publicly with their pics. That's the way it ought to be for the most part anyway IMO.

gentlemen, regardless of what you think of me and the photos i post... i do not actively guide people. ryan, thanks for having a reasonable perspective on this.

TT, take it down a notch -- I'm trying to follow the rules as best I can. I am not actively promoting any sort of business on here through my posts, although i admit i did make that mistake once and i told the admin I was sorry in my ignorance for violating the rules. since then what ive done as i understand it is well within the boundaries of what this forum is all about. sharing positive experience within the region that i fish

that is also to say that what I am trying to do by posting conditions and images is be and active part of the community, share good stories of fish caught in the region, and be a good sport about it. ive been PMed asking about spots on certain rivers, etc... I dont generally give away spots but on occasion if it is kept private and i feel good about sharing a tid bit of information, i will divulge it at my discretion to the parties that i think deserve to benefit. that is also in the spirit of the forum as i understand it.

whats really the issue here? elitism perhaps?

Great fish and great video. I just got back from a 4 day trip on the WB and was pleasantly surprised by all the big bows we landed. Hllwd76 landed a 21" beast and we had lots just under that size and smaller. Nothing like a Delaware bow over 20". Not only the jumps, but the sheer power when they decide to run. Of course their big browns aren't half bad either:)

To me personally, I think it's tougher on that river system to land a 20"+ bow than it is a 20"+ brown by far.
