    What is it?

I can't species this from the quality of the photo, but the forewings are suggestive of the genus Callibaetis sp. post it on my new (Mayfly Identification of North America) facebook group. experts are members including Doctors of Mayfly taxonomy. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1049341725077171/

The "republicans" have done less than him. I feel your US pain I am American too. Does Obama deserve credit?

He may not be the President "you" think he should have been. But he has helped to keep you safe and free. Isn't that the biggest part of the job maintaining freedom. I am in Canada and I have no party of interest. He is however a really good man and he should be given the correct respect. IMO

    Mr. Cahill and the Sulphurs

I read a paper by Edmunds & Traver on fly mechanics. As the elevation goes up so does wing and tail size. every 100 ft the air get thinner and flight more difficult. This why a description will say; Body 9 mm, wing 10.5 - 11.5. The tails become even bigger in the male because the tails act as...

    Mr. Cahill and the Sulphurs

I believe I can likely answer why the tails on you carolina area so long. But here is the million dollar questions for you. 1; what is the elevation from sea level where you are ???? 2; what color is the substraight of the water, Dark, Medium, or very pale light ...

    Stream reconstruction rules

The biggest problem is the disturbance of the aquatic life IE insects. The next is reducing the DO. dissolved oxygen. These two results must not occur and it works out. I do this work all the time with Trout Unlimited for native brook trout that are wild. It works out great if you understand...

    Mr. Cahill and the Sulphurs

That is all available at bold systems the DNA genetic mapping is completed as of 2013 they spent 3 1/2 years doing it and I believe there was 25 authors on that paper.

    Mr. Cahill and the Sulphurs

DNA is a viable solution. Jeff Webb and 20 other authors together did a huge DNA profile study paper in 2013. I believe if I read that paper correct some 470 something Stenacron alone were sampled. I think in total they sampled and cataloged almost 5000 different mayfly species worldwide. All...

    Terrorism training in Hancock

I suspect the gates and guards were ordered down by the supreme courts. The propaganda videos were just that, showing that they like others will take no shit from anybody. I also suspect that their ideas of training were the same as the rednecks in the south, "end of days" training. However like...

    Terrorism training in Hancock

If they don't like the way we live they can sure leave this continent, I wont mind at all. To all others free speech is OK but watch what you type. Big Brother reads everything now and profiles everybody for hate crimes.

    Terrorism training in Hancock

That place is a shit hole looks like a city dump from the skies. 90% of the hand to hand combat moves in the other video only work on untrained people. People that are trained are not fooled by moves they are expecting. Send them all packing back to the big sand box...

    Mr. Cahill and the Sulphurs

Epeorus pleuralis Quill Gordon, would be my first throw at it. The median femora markings also align with it. Tight set eyes and pointed frontale shelf are very suggestive of it.

    Mayflies for ID

The tail length I can not explain. All I can say is from my own personal rearing of the mayflies + what ever the professionals write. They don't consider tail length a important KEY. However I do think it is another piece of the puzzle and needs to be part of the formula to sorting things out...

    Mr. Cahill and the Sulphurs

Epeorus require fast moving colds water with most importantly very levels of oxygen. But is your little creek is a spring, fast moving and all season. If so then Epeorus could be there. Epeorus are so fragile. Keeping them alive in a bucket for more than 2 hours to bring home is very hard to do...

Here is a mayfly ID challenge for you

Can you ID this larva ??? Genus should be pretty easy :) Lets make this a fun challenge Here are the 2 major clues; you can ask for more clues later on. The 8th lateral projection on the abdomen is shorter than the 9th, and there is a yellow triangle near the middle of the head. This one...
