    Drift Boat wreck

One other thing about hale eddy... Taking out at hale eddy can be tricky at high flows. The bottom drops off sharply at the base of the ramp (if you can call it that). It's like 5 ft deep 2 feet from shore and there's current.

    Flow predictions WB

Was curious what folks think flow will be at hale eddy on Tuesday. Tributaries are dropping or have dropped but cannonsville is still spilling. Anyone want to make a prediction?

    Watch the Walton Guage

Wise advice. We once put in at Stilesville at maybe 1500-1800 and it rained all day very hard, way more than the forecast and when we took out at Hale Eddy it flowing at at least 6000 and rising. Not a wall from a reservoir spill but sketchy nonetheless.

Ban Drift Boats from the upper WB

Any of these make the news? Aside from Cabarle, these stories have been second hand. I really don't want to bring a machete when I'm fishing next week.

    Free beer (serious)

I have an idea. Would you be willing make beer cashes along catskill rivers? I can pm you coordinates if that helps. You can sherpa them into the gorge.

    At what age?

I take my kids to do all kinds of "fishing". When they were toddlers I'd throw an umbrella net and sometimes a casting net in the bay and have them pick up the minnows, shrimp, little crabs and put them in a bucket which would eventually get dumped back in. Still do that with them and they...

Holy crap! I once lived in Winchester. It's a total suburb inside the 128/95 beltway. It isn't some distant suburb, not even 10 miles from Boston. That's nuts.

So a colleague I have no reason not to trust (stand up guy, father and ex-army officer) showed me a picture he said a friend of his took at their home in Northwestern CT last year. Not so sure about that and his lawyer is clearly back peddling. Why would you join a lawsuit that clearly says you have concerns about fracking in the area when you don't? He's a plaintive in the lawsuit!! http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/documents/water20140220.pdf Page 17 of the...

That's an epic level of hypocrisy though. Astonishing. The suit says, "...that might devalue their properties and adversely impact the rural lifestyle they sought to enjoy..." That's a common concern for many in PA currently.
