    Sad news

Just saw on another site that Cathy Beck passed while on a trip to Argentina. She was 71. Saw her at the fly fishing show years ago and she was demonstrating how to double haul and made it clearer to me.

    How about a fishing report?

I was fishing glo bugs. Was impressed with how much line I could get out and how easy it was to mend with the switch, also, thinking about swinging.

    How about a fishing report?

Just got back from 4 days of steel heading on the salmon river. Was into 5-6 a day and boy were they hot. Mostly all chromers and quite a fight. I only managed to land a few but had some great fights. Wasn't to crowded until Friday so I had 3 good days of peace and quiet. Played around with a...

    How about a fishing report?

Went up Saturday only stayed 3 nights. Rain was an issue. Not many bugs or risers but did have one decent evening. Most on nymphs and some guys were doing well with streamers. One afternoon I was concentrating on my drift when a voice says look at her Mr. fisherman, after my drift ended I...

    How about a fishing report?

Just got back from the West Branch. 1st day high and stained water and didn't catch anything. The next two days had several fish nymphing but hatches were sparse and just didn't have an opportunity to cast to any risers. Rained hard the last night and the river was up and stained again. All...

    How about a fishing report?

Got back from a few days at the Dream Catchers on the West Branch. All and all pretty slow. I spoke to guys fishing from Stilesville to Deposit to Hale Eddy down to the Gamelands even the Main Stem and the East Branch and the story was the same, slow. I managed a fish or two nymphing in the...

    West Branch Revisited

There were only 2 other guys staying at the Dream Catchers. Saw a few boats come thru. The one morning saw a boat coming down and was keeping my I on it to see where it would go, saw two geese fly over and then bam, bam, I guess the were bird hunting. Woke me up I can tell you.:)

    West Branch Revisited

Not much, very few bugs on the water. Saw a few olives but not enough to bring up some fish. I was told you should have been here last week.:rolleyes:

    West Branch Revisited

Just got back from a few days at Dream Catchers on the West Branch again. Tied up some 22 and 24 olive emergers and some rusty spinners per prior discussion. All 4 days only saw a few rises so for me it was mostly nymphing. I like to nymph so I was good and while I didn't catch a lot of fish...

    West Branch

On a side note they were ignoring a bunch of small olives and also a fair amount of ISO's.

Spinners, I didn't think to give them a go. Fish were taking duns like crazy. As I mentioned I had some success early on, I was using emergers.

    West Branch

It's been so slow I figured I post a report. Just got back from Dream catchers on the West Branch. Slow nymphing in the morning but at about 3:00pm the sulphers would start hatching. They were between size 16 and 18. Early on in the hatch if I did everything just right I was able to get a...
