So, if hydraulic fracturing isn't really the problem...

10 to 20 years with good behavior? I don't have time right now to respond, but check this out: http://www.kgs.ku.edu/PRS/Fracturing/Frac_Paper_SPE_152596.pdf LOTS of GOOD information. And the NYDEC learned: http://www.dec.ny.gov/energy/75410.html

So, if hydraulic fracturing isn't really the problem...

You know what's missing in this thread? The regular antis explaining why the propane fracturing process is bad for our water supplies and needs to be halted. I've looked on some of the anti fracking environmental websites and haven't seen the rationale. Maybe I shoulda looked harder. Maybe...

No "theory" involved. AK, I believe with his tongue in his cheek, is correct. I will try to find the determination of the DEP's investigation on the wells in Dimock. My computer won't let me read it for some reason; I don't know if this actually answers the question, but Here...

So, if hydraulic fracturing isn't really the problem...

One could drill a gas well and NOT frack the well and if one did a poor casing job, STILL have gas leak out of the well bore, into the groundwater and into a water well.

And NOW lonewolve gives me the "no thankyou for an un useful post"! All I did was ask him to point me to where I could read about the problems in Clearfield County that he wrote of and to explain how his fiance's water was "compromised and polluted". How is THAT unuseful? Hopefully, he is...

So, if hydraulic fracturing isn't really the problem...

Long answer: I'll assume you've no experience with water wells. MY well is about 225' down to the bottom. The water level is about 35' down. A pump is near the bottom of the well that pumps water to a "reservoir" in my house. I believe that tank is eight gallons. When I open a faucet, the...

So, if hydraulic fracturing isn't really the problem...

Since Dcabarle, the anti fracker, is bored with the fishing related stuff AND since it's been a while since I've posted anything about drilling... What an interesting few weeks in the world of anti-fracking reality. As you guys should remember, the anti gas drillers used the problems in...
