I'm trying to figure this one out. Give me time.
The ultimate info on this site would be the prediction of Cannonsville releases for the next several days, based on the current FFMP (Flexible Flow Management Plan). This would prevent me from driving for three hours up to the WB, only to see the levels raised to unwadeable levels shortly after I arrived.
Just kidding, since even when I was very familiar with the FFMP, the ultimate decisions are made by the rivermaster, and I didn't know anyone who knew what was going on in his mind.
There is a site that predicts when a reservoir will start spilling, and that has been quite accurate accurate, in my experience: National Weather Service Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service

Essentially, you're asking a weatherman to predict the weather based on all available information. Now you and I both know that being a weatherman/woman is like predicting the future. Only DJT can do that. Weathermen/women, as you know, are people on the face of the planet who can get it wrong 95% of the time and still keep their jobs! DJT on the other hand, is mostly right, regardless of his mean tweets.

I was referring to the FFMP, which includes things like thermal banks for release when temps on the mainstream reach certain levels, etc.
Weather, indeed, is a huge variable, but I have found the Prediction Service site for predicting when the dams will spill to be quite accurate, ON AVERAGE.
In any event, the advantage of fishing the WB is that its only a three hour trip, and you can almost always find some fishable stream independent of the weather.

You made yourself clear and I understood. My comment was facetious. What I meant by that... FUDR, meetings with this one and that one, FFMP, DEC, NYC, Thermal banks, it's all nonsense. I have FF Magazine articles (available on this site) from the 70's... It's all the same, just a new year. We know who controls the water and there's zero we can do about it. Just my opinion.
