Help with Dry Flies in Rosedale Lake?

If this is the Rosedale lake by Princeton the fish I've caught there are mostly Crappie. They also stock this lake in the spring and Fall with trout.

Looking for a river or lake to fish trout in or near Toms River.

Pine lake is near the Trout Conservation Area in Toms River. There also looks like a good lake in Lakehurst (just off 70). For other lakes You'll need to try further inland, Lakewood has a lake in town, Colliers Mill WMA has two. Here's the link to fish and game's listing of lakes in Ocean...

Any rules to usea Inflatable in NJ lakes.

I use a float tube in the lakes around here with no problems (except for the high stumps, getting goosed by them really raises the heart rate for a second). The regulations state: What to Register Any boat longer than 12 feet and all motor-powered vessels, regardless of length. What Not to...

Anybody think this year's show will be worth going to? I didn't think the last few years were worth it.

    Wal-Mart donates 36 Million to anti-fishing groups

I'm sure others have posted about this before (I think this was published in August) but I'm shocked that Wal-Mart would do something like this seeings how they sell fishing equipment. While the money is being sent to salt water fishing Nazis and I don't fish salt, Wal-Mart has seen the last of...

Newbie but hooked needs advice/recommendation on small stream casting techniques

In most areas of the Toms TCA the only way to fish is roll-cast or, like Rusty says, let-er-drag. Other places you can cast but you must get away from the TCA. Wade any direction and you will find castable water. You can also try different areas on the Toms like the Learning Center but they all...

    My Eulogy for osama

My hope is that the rounds used to remove this boil from the face of the earth were wrapped in bacon and when they threw his ass off the ship someone had the fore-thought to stuff a ham in his mouth. Next on the hit parade is the real leader of Al-Qaeda, Anwar al-Awlaki.

New to the Board.....and might be moving to Jersey

Isaac, Your best bet would be to find out where you will be moving to and get back to us. While books are great nothing beats a reply that starts "I was out there yesterday and..." Also many people on this site are helpful with what to use and some will take you out with them (although some of...

How to price a house for rent?

List it with a real estate agent. A local agent will know prices and can help in other ways like background checks, rental agreements and the like.

    Need help new to tying

You're making it really tough to advise you. What do you want to fish for? Where do you want to fish? How do you like to fish? Also what is your tying level? If this is you first time I suggest classes. If, like me, there was no place close I would send you to the same place I learned Fly...
