    Wink Holiday Gifts

    Holiday Greeting NEFF members!

Has anyone been especially good this year? Have you asked Chanukah Harry, Santa, or whatever holiday gift bringing character you believe in for some special fly fishing gift? If so, what is it? I must encourage everyone to be as tangential and creative as possible with your answers.

Sadly I have been very naughty. I donít even rate coal in my stocking, I'm not getting . May you all get what you want, and may a few of you get what you deserve!

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I've been especially good. I treated myself to an ebay goodie... got a Hardy Flyweight special edition for less than half-price! Now I just have to wrap it so I can surprise myself Christmas Day!

Last year I started my own personal gift registry system for wife, my son, and myself. Basically I made a page on my website (that any gift-seeker can access from the comfort of their home) which contains our wishlists. The list contains direct hyperlinks to merchandise from various merchants. It makes it a lot easier for family members to determine what to buy us (especially since they can do it online) and saves us time having to return unwanted items.

This year my list included a whole bunch of FF merchandise including fly lines, books, apparel. Its A good way to get what you want, and not get what you don't want.

    Holiday gifts

I, too, have treated myself to an Ebay find...a Loomis 9' 5 wt. GLX...which will go with my 3 and 4 wt of the same type. My wife will wrap it up...and there is no doubt that my memory is so bad that I will be surprised come Christmas morning.

    Hmmm...

I always say I don't want and I end up getting that I don't need, or want.

My wife is prety good though, and always gets me somehting worth while.

Coal? Yeah I want coal, and lots of it. If that means I have to be bad, then I'm up for the challenge.

It's cold here. I don't like being cold anymore.

Ah well, Mele Kalikimaka me ka Hau'oli Makahiki Hou to all, and to all a good night!

Giving generally is fun, gettin' sometimes not so much fun.

The thing is, when you're an adult, you buy what you want and need, you don't wait for someone to give it to you. Gettin's how you end up with you don't really need. Givin' is how your friend ends up with he didn't need.

William Joseph waist pack for the Trico's in the summer and small streams when I only fish a few flies. Love the idea of water bottles because in the heat of august in 90 degree weather I'm awful thirsty. Eople in my family know I am the easiest in the world to shop for. Jane's mother buys all my licences and the kids get me gift certificates at 3 or 4 fly shops.

A little off topic maybe, but I'm thinking about getting myself an o/u shotgun

well I have a lot on my list, but I've already ordered one of these for myself from basspro..
had a couple of gift cards to use up.

    reel + free spool = $199.
