Looks like it's gonna be a late start to the season this year.

    Hey Jim,

Nice shot. Looks extremely cold over there. Thanks for the pic!

Yeah, I just put in for my Green Drake vacation at work and planned for it for a couple days on the late side this year, based on the ice, snow, and continued cold. We'll see what happens.

    Mark,
You might want to attend the proposed Neversink River casino (Stockbridge-Munsee tribe) public hearing tonight at the Monticello HS Auditorium.

    7:00pm.

The info from the TGF e-mail is in thread below.

    Hey Mark,
The way you fish and hike so much, I didn't think you even had a job!

Where is a DEC officer when you need one?

Woke up this morning and caught this guy fishing without a license out of season.

Juvenile Bald Eagle (Doesn't have his white head yet.)
Last weekend he tried to pick off an otter that had crawled up on the ice in the eddy.

    Jon,
Isn't your house in the No-Kill section? I'm sure the eagle, immature as he is, would have released the fish after playing him. Besides, no DEC officer would have written him up because under the regs he is not "fishing".

    Hi Chris,
It's turned out to be a really nice day.
Can't wait to get on the water.
There was a small otter or mink cruising around the pool looking for a snack earlier.

Ready for another clean up project?
There is an important project that FUDR has planned when it gets a little warmer.
After the flooding a lot of the creek mouths got choked with gravel and need to be cleaned out so the fish can run up to spawn.
There are about 12-14 that are scheduled to be done over two weekends. Probably in 2-3 weeks.

    Keep you posted
