Alaska......
Since I am lucky enough to be able to fish here just about every day now, I figured I'd keep you guys updated on how things work out for me.
I will be heading out Thursday morning for the Kenai Peninsula to scope things out since that is the only water that is open.

Hey Chris, Looks like you're having a blast. Sorry I couldn't make the trip with you this year. I don't see the most important rod in your arsenal. Where's that 15' pin? I thought you went up there to catch fish?

This is what hard core steel heading looks like.
I have been told the rainbows in Alaska on the Kenai Peninsula are bigger than the steelhead. Saw a picture of a 14lb Kenai rainbow from three days ago. Guy said he has caught 5 bows over 20lbs and he showed me a picture of a 25lb rainbow from the Kenai!!!!!!!!
This is not the Kenai
It is midnight here, the beer is cold, the fire is warm, an I can still see sunlight on the horizon!
Just hope a moose doesn't step on me and a bear doesn't eat me while I'm sleeping. Not sure my .45 will do much. Going I have to get a bigger gun.

Well no dice on the steelhead on the Kasilof. No one got a thing.
Camping out on Skilak lake and then dragging the toon a mile to the Kenai for a two day float. Which means I will be camping along the bank some where. Kenai closes May 1st and opens back up in June after the rainbows spawn. Should be interesting to say the least. Hopefully I can find some fish willing to play.

It's been so slow I figured I post a report. Just got back from Dream catchers on the West Branch. Slow nymphing in the morning but at about 3:00pm the sulphers would start hatching. They were...
