Re: I’m going sling pack
I have vests from Simms and Patagonia. The mesh vests are cooler in hot weather but a pain as things get caught in the mesh trying to dig theM out. The Simms vests I have are nice, but I dont like wearing a sleeveless jacket in July. Embrace change! Get rid of your landline phone, cable TV and VCR. But if your interested, I still have two fenwick S glass rods for sale you might be interested in.

Re: I’m going sling pack
Lol ! I’m all for change , had a cell phone since the 80’s when cell phone bills for one phone was over$500 , now homeless people run around with
Obama phones! You seem offended that I’m trying to dissuade you from
Your recent purchase of your sling duffel purse .Sling purse if you must , but be forewarned that they look stupid and suck compared to the right vest or chest pack . Inform Beetle and Moosekid when you realize they
suck and you put it on EBay or FB marketplace so they can bid against
Each other and you can recoup some of your money , and you can take that money
and trade that Dinghy in your avatar for a Real raft or Driftboat or keep it and change
Your forum name to “ The Dinghymaster! “ lol !
If I remember correctly you used to have a Hyde drift boat, as do I . Now
A sling purse and a Minimalist dinghy ? The desperate attempt to be accepted by the desperate to be cool millennials ( as they live in their parents basements)still won’t accept you into their club , nor would you want to hang there. Beetle has
been trying to get in for years.... lol !

Re: I’m going sling pack
A purse is a purse is a purse whether you wear it as a sling, on your chest or as a fanny pack. I have all three, but prefer to just carry a fly box and extra 5X tippet.

Re: I’m going sling pack
Going "minimal" is one fly box in your hip pocket. The rest just means you have a shopping addiction.
If you know the waterbody, you should know which flies to put in the box, and even throw in some extras.

Re: I’m going sling pack
True Pete, and I wholeheartedly support you guys that never pack a rain jacket so when it starts to rain I have the whole stream to myself. Or net, or forceps, or nippers, or tippet. But if I really want the whole place to myself then I will go and fish the Susquehanna for carp and suckers with hatchman

Re: I’m going sling pack
Anytime. Just leave your partner Beetle at home. Lol!
Don’t get me wrong , I much prefer the Delaware when it’s not swarmed
With drift boats and guys from the Poconos in rubber dinghy’s with sling
Purses. I live about 15 minutes from the West Branch. The Susquehanna is in my front yard and does have some nice smallmouth and walleyes and you might even tie into a Musky that would tow you and your Dinghy
all over , you might want to throw a few Musky flies in your sling duffel Purse .....lol!

I spent several springs fishing the Lackawaxen long ago, before I moved up the Delaware and discovered the tail waters. I fished with Charlie and Ivan and those other geezers who hung out around that...
