Twin Islands Campsite - Roscoe
Twin Islands campsite has been sold. Not sure how many of you are familiar with it but years ago it was a pretty nice campground. Maybe the new owner will open it back up.
Kay Lambrigger:
"To all my Twin Island family and friends.
You are all such a big part of my life and I feel very blessed for that.we have made and shared so many wonderful memories together. The best part is We will always have them.
I am writing this to let you know that the land of T.I.C. has been sold to be enjoyed by new people. But T.I.C. will still be ours to keep forever in our memories.
My love to all and thank you from the bottom of my heart .. Kay Lambrigger and family"

Re: Twin Islands Campsite - Roscoe
Spent quite a few weekends at TIC in my early/mid teen years. I had what I guess you could call a second family, the Johnstons that lived the other side of the woods from me. Herbie "Doc" Johnston was a bus driver for Decamp and in his spare time he was a square dance caller and one of his gigs was summer weekends at TIC. He always invited me along with his wife and two daughters,we would pile into his in box truck camper and I would spend the weekend fishing by day and square dancing by night. It was a fun place to be with loads of friendly people.
Killer bait were the red wigglers I would dig up in Herbie's manure pile.

No DC, he used an old record player and speaker to play the music and microphone to call the squares.

Re: Twin Islands Campsite - Roscoe
Anyone know who purchased it and what they intend to use the property for? I know the Hisidics (sorry for the spelling) looked at the property several years ago.

I heard it was those Canadian hoser Pastafarian Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster wing nuts. They love camping by the river and skinny dipping but hate trout...for obvious reasons related to skinny dipping

I spent several springs fishing the Lackawaxen long ago, before I moved up the Delaware and discovered the tail waters. I fished with Charlie and Ivan and those other geezers who hung out around that...
