    Spare spool question

Does anyone own a Scientific Angler reel made by Hardy in the 2/3 size? I came across a spare spool that looks like it is for a 2/3 but can't be sure as there are no size markings on the spool and i don't have the reel. The spool is 2 3/4" in diameter. I appreciate any input.

Check that, i think this spool is for #4 SA System made by Hardy. What's with the crickets?

It's late August, there are crickets everywhere.

    Re: Spare spool question

The original SA "System" series were matched fiberglass rods, and (made by Hardy) reels, for line weights 4 through 9.

Since then, they've changed the reel design often, while keeping the "System" nomenclature, so the numbers can be confusing. Mine is a "System 9" so measuring it won't help.

    Is this it?

    Re: Spare spool question

The item I linked was "sold", so I don't know how long it will remain available online.

It was described as "Scientific Anglers System 4, 2 3/4″ Fly Fishing Reel".
    It looked like the attached.
