Stream cleanup
Several decades ago members of this site including it's founding Father Dennis C.got together and cleaned up a hillside of shit on the West Branch. Apparently many of the natives used gravity as their garbage disposal. I have not been back to see if they resumed their devious activities. I was just up at Stilesville and had the privilege and honor of removing by hand a tractor trailer tire, rolling it up the bank and parking it next to Telephone pole #44. It will remain there until I wheel it down to the DEC parking lot. So i did my good deed for the month. What have you done lately?

Re: Stream cleanup
There's a new TU chapter that meets in PA near Hancock, NY that is focused on the upper D. Reach out and work with them on these much needed cleanups. Unfortunately, those illegal dump sites continue, especially on slow back roads with steep hillsides so nobody can see your illegal dumping. People suck sometimes!

Read the article. Basically tells me nothing new. FYI, water vapor and methane are way, way more powerful greenhouse gases. Also, there were times when CO2 levels were over 5000ppm. The levels...
