Fudr one bug!
The FUDR has been going strong for many many years. I'm almost certain that the very first meeting place was the Streams of Dreams fly shop in Upper Saddle River, NJ with Larry Miri, Lee Harman, Harry Huff, and a small handful of others.
I remember Larry Miri, Jim Serio, and many others fighting over dominance over the Upper Delaware River system! Who was snorkeling over in Bard Parker and Lordville, looking at gauges and counting fish! Hillarious stuff but that was the beginning of it and this site has been around through good and bad times to promote the FUDR and the DRF "Let it flow"! It's nice to see after many years that everyone seems to be working together!
I believe the first One Bug dinner was in 2008. From 2009 on, I've been attending and have been the event photographer. A few years ago, they were short of guides. I was asked to jump in on the oars and participate as a guide on the river. It was cold and windy, just as a typical day of guiding should be!
This year the ONE BUG event takes place From April 26th - 28th. I hope to see a nice handful of you there as a participant or dinner guest.
Good luck to all of the One Buggers!

I'm floating that Friday of the banquet, but that's as close as I get this year.

Re: Fudr one bug!
$1,500 to enter the contest and the money goes to support local businesses in Hancock. I'd like to know which ones. Isn't there a Jihad pizza place that traffics children up there? I can't support that unless the pizza is real good. I bet is sucks.

You don't have to be in the contest to have a good time. The auction/dinner, reconnecting with some old friends and acquaintances is also nice and will only set you back $100.00 to do that but, that includes some pretty damn good food / appetizers, and drinks all night long!

Re: Fudr one bug!
Nothing wrong with me taking a joy ride on route 80 at 5 pm, so long as I'm headed east against traffic.
That was the only day my buddy could take off work around that time and he wants to stay and wade fish the next day, so I will show him some spots. Because the West Branch isn't crowded enough with googan anglers from NJ..........

No thanks to one bug dinner. I will be doing burgers and a 30pack for 25$.
Winning!
