2018 International Fly Tying Symposium this weekend

So who's going to the show this weekend at the Parsippany Sheraton?

    Don't all answer at once.

If the answers I get here are anything like those I got for the Flyfisherman/woman of the year post, I'm not sure there is enough bandwidth to handle them.

So keep your answers simple, or like the FF of the year post, keep them to yourself.

    The choice is yours.

But seriously, you all come here all the time looking for another train wreck (living in the past), so why not take the time to answer my simple question?

Besides, if you don't answer, the know it alls will certainly respond and I'll have to kick their proverbial asses to the bank again.

Come on, it isn't hard to do and it won't hurt, so give it a shot for shits and giggles.

Or just answer the damn question.

May the light of the spirit be with you now and always. (Except you Cabarle)

    I'll start.

I am going on Sunday afternoon.

I'll be wearing camo so you can't see me.

    Mel

I'll be there on Saturday working the South Jersey Coastal Fly Anglers table. I may even tie a few mop flies.

Mop flies are made out of pieces of mop. Most of the pieces I have come from mitts or mops used for washing cars. You can also find dust mops, even rugs with usable pieces. Easy to tie and actually pretty effective. You either love them or hate them. Sort of like the Green Weenie. Here are some of the ones I tie.
Mini-mops mainly used for trout and pan fish tied on size 10 and size 12 hooks.

These are medium to large. They work for trout, pan fish and bass

Thanks Jerry, I know what a mop fly is, I was being facetious. I won't fish them. The lowest I will go is a woolly bugger. I like to fish fur and feathers, not shammies and dust mops, but thank you for the explanation!!!

I knew he was being facetious, but I'm glad you replied.
It never occurred to me to make larger ones for bass.
It's been ages since I targeted bass, but when you consider the success of baitcasting fisherfolks with rubber worms, it should have been obvious.

I'll be there Sunday morning, tying for the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild. I'll most likely whip up some Ciinbergs and Atherton number fives. Hope that a few of you can stop by.

Mr. Mel... I have to ask.... "Flyfisherman/woman" did you just assume people's identities? You're not right. There are people out there who are not sure who they are when they wake up in the morning. Every day is a different day for some people. WAKE UP! Stop being a racist biggoted anti ANTIFA, BLM, feminist type of guy. It sickens me (that these assholes exist).

First question: No, I don't assume anything, I pulled off their waders to get their identities, some of them had no clothes on under there, it was disgusting but I got their identities.

Secondly:If anyone knows who they are when they wake up in the morning, they need to see a shrink for exactly the reason you state- every day is a different day for all of us. In fact, today, Golden Beetle thought it was 3000 B.C. and he was installing smoke alarms in the great pyramids of Egypt

Thirdly: I'm awake, and in fact, I can't be a racist because I don't drive let alone go to Daytona or Indianapolis. I have heard that some dude named Mario And Ready, was quite a racist in his day.

And by the way, everyone has an asshole, so they exist and so there is no sense hating them. (Why did you write that in blue? It reminds of of Future Fanatic, who wrote weird shit in tiny fonts thinking he was smarter than the rest of us)

Where did the alpaca hippie go, anyway?

Just because you are offended, doesn't mean you are right.
