Who uses a chest pack?

Who out there uses chest pack? What do you use and what do you carry with you. I've been trying to scale back on the amount of gear. I usually get out for a 1/2 day trips on my local stream.

I use a fishpond chest pack, but i don't out it on my chest as it has a shoulder strap as well, it is perfect for a short or long excursion. I can put 3 fly boxes in it that carry more than 100 flies each..you need more than that you have issues..my net attaches the the should strap, the tippet attaches to a zipper and a hook provided, and there are many "pockets" for other things...clippers and forceps on zip pulls, whatever those things are called...it has a waist strap as well so you can give your shoulder a rest if you are out for a long time....

I ditched my chest pack. I picked up the Filson tin cloth pack.

I use a fish pond San Jaun chest pack when I’m fishing a short outing, in the heat or when I just don’t feel like lugging too much shit around.

Its a a nice little pack and it’s cheap ($50ish) but sometimes it just doesn’t cut it when I need extra room. Definitely gotta use slim fly boxes. But overall it’s good for its niche.

I only carry one...its all I need, my shoulders get tired from landing so many fish.. It seems you don't have that problem. I am sure if you do it's from the weight of your boobness.

I finally left vests for trout fishing and went to a William Joseph Confluence which is a large, two-sided chest pack. That was a few years ago and I was still guiding at the time and could fit all the crap I needed in it and still jam rain gear in the back as well. It's larger than I would need for most trips, but unlike lightenup, I can fill it up and walk around all day without the need for a back brace.

You and I both know Grobert won't speak to you anymore after that debacle at the casting pond....it's a rod MAC, not a pole!!!!
