My firm just completed some restoration work on Division owned land many call the "A Frame property" above the Musky Trout Hatchery/Warren Rod & Gun Club between Asbury and Bloomsbury on the lower Musky. TU funded this with William Penn Foundation funds as well as an Embrace A Stream grant (TU grant program) and numerous TU chapters and Theodore Gordon Flyfishers funds. The river had widened up to 102' due largely to the construction over many decades of cobble dams to try to create pool habitat above the man made dams. We narrowed sections to as narrow as 67' in one of those overly widened areas at base flows. The narrowing is simply our gravel/point bars which the river just rolls over when it is in high flows. Anglers complained of a lack of holding water, but will now be much happier as will the fish and everything that lives in or because of the river. Much better insect habitat to boot. Enjoy...
