The Neversink ... my Waterloo
I'm close to obsession with trying to figure out how to be highly productive on this amazing river. I've seen some giants, but have never landed anything beyond 13" and never had more than 2 C&R in a day. I've been there in the early evening when rises all around taunt me.
I'm sure its more the skill of the fisherman than anything else, but I still want to give props to this incredible river. It's actually a joy to keep working it, figuring it out like cracking a safe!
So, when you see me, you can ask, "finally crack that safe? "

The Neversink does not give up her secrets easily. I have fished her from the reservoir down to Cuddebackville. Luck is your only ingredient to a successful trip.

Re: The Neversink ... my Waterloo
I've had great days there and days when I couldn't buy a bite for no reason that I could discern. Love that place. Even when you get skunked its an experience.
Donuts , good coffee, Fresh fried chicken , fresh hamburgers, Sabrett hot dogs, crispy Pork roll sandwiches ( for the Jersey crew) , crispy crinkle cut fries, beer battered onion rings and ice...
