RL Winston perfect reel
I recently acquired an RL Winton 3 3/8 Perfect reel. It is in velvet bag in original box. If it was ever used, I can't tell.
Any idea of the value of this reel? Hard to find info on it.
Thanks, Bryan

Re: RL Winston perfect reel
I just googled it and tons and tons of info comes up on it. It's a Hardy reel made for Winston. Looks like it goes for $500 - $550

Re: RL Winston perfect reel
I have one of those as well....It needs a washer, that I lost somehow when I was lubricating it, contacted Hardy twice and never heard back...what a bag of dick's..it is a great reel and tons of fun to fish with...I fish it on my Winston 5wt...all the colors match and the weight is "perfect" if I can get that washer back!!!!
AND, I still think your fish were fake....

Re: RL Winston perfect reel
Man, this is a seriously great reel; have this and a 3 1/8 as well. Have fished for browns and rainbows to 4# with no problems at all. These dried up completely on the market a few years ago; yeah, some did sell for 5-600 but NIB with papers 800 should be obtainable. Put this on bamboo and vintage forums and Winston forums and you should do well

Well unless you are catering to the South Jersey crowd, you better make those "crispy Taylor Ham sandwiches".
