    Bring back the Silver Trout!

Humanity is always making articles about the possibility of bringing back extinct species. Why not the silver trout?

Its only disappeared less than 100 years ago, it was only in a select few lakes which we ruined with invasive's. And it sounds like they might have some specimens lying around somewhere.

Would be a good little starting test to bringing back extinct species.

Oh and FYI I've been good. I mainly fish the double kill in my town now. After finding it there's no need to go to the catskills. Also I went back to college and only need 8 more courses to complete degree!

Maybe they can find a left over population in a secluded area and re-populate them like the Lahontan cutthroat....but probably not as this is the east coast and the damage is much worse than out west...

There are some pretty rare char up in Maine still, CMM.

I think they're related to arctics and isolated populations are found in Maine lakes, similar to silver trout.

A Maine trip might suit you well man.
