    That's fine by me, but you think that helps your local fly shop, reselling on a local website?

    (I really don't give a shit, but you gotta stop with your buy America and support your local fly shop crusades while you do this.)

    Imagine being so desperately poor that you'd buy somebody else's rejects.
    Obviously someone like that can't afford to pay for new tackle.
    He wasn't going to buy tackle from a shop anyway.
    Without tackle, he has no need for flies, so the shop won't sell him flies.

    Unless .... He gets some cheap "minimally used" crap from Mac.
    Then he needs flies, and buys them at the local shop.
    Win - Win !

    Sorry John so you are saying I should just throw it away. I mean I purchased from a fly shop and will continue to buy from a fly shop. In fact I will likely buy another fly rod soon. From a fly shop. A local one. Cause I want to support them. Did I say buy American? I don't see where I said that. So not sure why you are so angry about this. What's going on with you John. Is the heat getting to you?

    OK, you try explaining business principles to him without putting it into terms he can understand.
    ~~~~time passes~~~~
    EDIT: OK, you're trying, but I bet he still doesn't get your point.
    Try, using shorter words.
    Mac, you basically run the mortuary of what perhaps had been the biggest fly fishing site in the northeast for nearly a decade.
    Cabarle busted his wrist riding a pogo stick in his mid life crisis, and can't type anymore to do the job.
    He gave you the keys to his 1985 Ford station wagon, with the wood panels on the side, and entrusted you with its safe keeping...
    I am guessing your discounts and free gear come from this gig, and you're not supporting your local fly shops so much when you resell discounted gear from national manufacturers on a local website.
    Assuming I'm not mistaken, and I'll take you at your word, Mac, if I am.
    Right I resell 5 pieces of flyfishing equipment since last year. That I bought. With my own money....from shops....that are local...which I support... because I love America. This makes you unhappy...so you lash out...like you always do. Why do you hate America John? Why do you hate local fly shops? Why John? Tell me please
    Mac, years ago I tried to buy NEFF from
    Cabarle.
    Negotiations broke down when he wanted a large coffee.
    For the whole site.
    My goal was to link the NEFF message board with the GB Magazine experience - as one integrated platform. I had a year where I focused on building an online presence, and for whatever reason, Cabarle wouldn't accept the small coffee I offered as payment, for NEFF, and that was the end of that.
    For whatever reason, GB Mag was fucking huge for a while. (By that I mean we had about 200 readers or so.)
    Yeah, it was tiring promotion, that would have been sustainable, I think, had I thought to compromise: would Cabarle have taken a medium?
    And if I had offered a medium, would I be Lord of this Manor?
    And peddler of the plastic reel?
    Maybe the issue John and I am just spitballing here is that you can't seem to follow through on anything. First a lawyer then a teacher then head of a not famous at all magazine. I give you props for trying but you got a stick it out my friend. But let's get back to why you hate America Johnny. Land of the free and home of the brave. Where the local fly shop suffers cause you can't even afford a small coffee. C'mon Johnny spill it
