    Not about terrorists

I did some map work this week and found one of these in Pa.

It turned out to be a great little creek chuck full of these little gems.

The lower section was all browns and the upper section was a mix of browns and brookies.
All the fish took a #16 grey parachute which is my go to dry in situations when nothing is hatching and I'm in new territory.

The creek is a braided stream that winds between hardwoods and hemlocks, and the stream bottom is gravel, large rocks and ledge. Most of the rocks are moss covered but I had no problem wading with felt bottom wet wading boots. I didn't take a temperature but I would guess that the water was in the low sixties.
Casting was a challenge in some spots but I would give it a 6 out of 10 for degree of difficulty for fishing. The water was low from what I could see on the bank line, but it was still flowing a a good enough pace to get some decent drifts.
I fished quite a ways up until I reached this point and then left the creek and headed back to the car.

The following picture is my homage to Small Stream Reflections, as I quite enjoy his blog in both his writing and pictures.
