Cooperstown Fly Fishing
Howdy, I am from the Gulf Coast of Texas and will be in Cooperstown for a week while youngest Grandson plays baseball (what else in Cooperstown). What if any are my Fly Fishing opportunities in/near Cooperstown. If any what species and what flies? Any help will be appreciated!!

Re: Cooperstown Fly Fishing
I drive through there on my way to the hunting cabin every year and always mean to make a stop but haven't yet. Wharton Creek is a suggestion if you're looking for trout, however it's getting warm. There seems to be ample water (ponds/lakes) and as you're from TX, I would probably focus on bass - I'm sure you have all the necessary flies. The DEC says they stock Arnold Lake, Basswood Pond and Gilbert Lake. So maybe some starting points for your research.
