Shannon's Fly Tying Decermber 11, 2016
Fly Tying classes are underway. Saturdays for Beginner's Class is led by Stan Marciniak. On Sunday December 11. Bill Ninke will be showing how to use specially-tied loops of synthetic fibers to create a wide variety of wing styles for mayfly emerger, dun, and spinner patterns. Bring a vise, tools and thread if you can. We have a limited number of tool kits.
Bill Ninke, for those of you who don't know him is a highly innovative fly tyer who hails from Central Jersey TU. Stan Marciniak comes from Brick Township up to Califon to lead the Beginner's Class on Saturday mornings. He is a very patient and accomplished tyer and we are lucky to have him on board! -JH

Right, so how will they know if you are targeting shad? They will probably just watch from the woods with binoculars for a few, until they see what you are doing, kind of like Grobert does every time...
Keep an eye out for American shad...
